spring weekend out

me and milena had both free in the warmest weekend of the year till now, the sun was so warm that we left our big jackets home. we found the park in kirchhain and i was very happy to have such a quiet green place to relax. here are some photos taken in the day:

art exposition

frau jung proposed me and milena to go with her and a girl milena ( ausbildung ) to an art exposition. the event took place in giessen and the name was " normal und anders"- normal and different i should translate. frau jung held a speech about how different and normal are the children here and ended with a joke like she usually does. here are photos:

paper work at praktikantentag

i have to post this photo with what milena cooked one evening, more exactly the evening where all my work colleagues came across our apartment door for the child conference on the room on top, the smell was quite obvious


than came the day of paper work, the recepy is this:

take some white paper, can also be used or painted or newspaper ( no colored magazine paper though ). rip it in very small pieces and put it in cooked water in a bucket. try making it as small as possible after that, we used for example a mash potatoes machine or mixer. put some warm water in another bucket and a small amount of the composition before plus dried flowers. than with a bolter or strainer pick up the paper and flowers from the warm water- the layer shouldn't be to thin and neither to thick. place it carefully on a towel, important that is flat and without any holes in it. let it dry. at the end you have a nice self made nice support to write poems for example or whatever else ( i have to admit i didn't see yet the final product but it was a lot of fun making the recepy and i felt like a real artist creating )

we had a lot of laugh making something artistical from dirt, we were even saying at some point "more dirt more dirt, bring it here!!" might be the point where we did a big support from all the dirt left, anyway it was a nice new experience.

beginning of march

this month had already lots of events, i went to marburg a few times and met a romanian girl, adriana at asta at the uni, also met the girl that was here an evs last year, sophie from france and i made a night out with milena and johanna, who also worked here some months ago. i can feel a change of mood here, might be of course the spring coming which always give me more energy or might also be the close event of me going home for easter.

saturday i went with all children and some other workers to kassel to visit a girl that lived here before, jessica. all i know is that she was one of the children in my group and that she was very happy to see us all there. the organization in kassel was also very interesting, here are some photos:

altenschlirf

monday afternoon i was at the robin hood theater play in altenschlirf. i also had the chance before it to see the organization for adults there. was very impressed of how friendly all were, also of talking with people over 40 with down syndrome.
the play was very well made,the Seminaristen wrote it and played. People from the organization had a lot of fun. In the break i saw again a boy that left kirchhain some months ago and moved to the adults organization there, we talked a lot and although he misses us a lot he has a lot of new friends in altenschlirf.

the beginning of march brings here the spring; in my group we have to redecorate the table of year seasons.
i was offered to make a painting with snowdrops which in the end looked like this:

i had some free days at work, perfect time to discover and try a new hobby: origami flowers. noone was more happy than my group, who got my first trial for the year seasons table:

badenweiler

in my last day of vacation i visited badenweiler, close to the french boarder. i was very impressed of the roman bathing house and the nice '60s general atmosphere of the small town.the cure center and the ruins

end of february

on 22 of february my grandfather died. i was reminding when talking with my sister on the internet what a nice person he was and what a terrible feeling we have not being able to say goodbye. the funeral was on thuesday, too late for me to fly home.

my bf came to me on monday, beginning of my vacation, luckly enough because i so needed someone close to just be with me.

after this came two days of geology mapping, weather was very nice and i had a lot of fun. i was in charge with the gps and this phrase: " there is a rock!!!" saturday evening i was completely "contaminated", i even made photos with a very nice rock we carried home happly:
