i offered myself to work for easter, to satisfy my curiosity of how people and most of all the organization here celebrates the most important holiday of the year.
we started with painting egs, easter cleaning, decorating the rooms, easter market- in kirchhain very similar to the christmas one; and cooking egs. saturday evening i left katinka preparing everything while the children were still sleeping. it reminded me of my mother in the easter saturday, always going to sleep late, till everything was ready for the big celebration.
sunday morning at 6 am some of the children and workers woke up everyone with the nice melody of "christ ist entstanden". in the easter day children searched for they easter nests, i was quite surprised to also find a nest with my name on it, the chocolate bunny and egs i got where quite happy to see romania very soon after the easter in germany.
on practicants day before easter we prepared the big celebration room and a special poem, which i wrote with magdalena on the paper we made the last month.: du, der ueber uns ist,
du, der einer von uns ist,
du, der ist-
auch in uns;
dass alle dich sehen- auch in mir,
dass ich den weg bereite fuer dich,
dass ich danke fuer alles, was mir widerfuhr.
dass ich dabei nicht vergesse der anderen not.
behalte mich in deiner liebe,
so wie du willst, dass andere bleiben in der meinen.
moechte sich alles in diesem meinem wesen,
zu deiner ehre wenden,
und moechte ich nie verzweifeln.
