time to say goodbye

The month of august brings lots of goodbye parties in the HGK. Among the most important Dannys and with him, Frank and Stefan from Capella, three of the teenagers that move out from the organization. There is a lot to say, I will maybe just express it in few words: was amazed of all the preparation, all the people coming to the party and wishes and of how the three felt like, nice feeling of having a house where they can always come back but also a future they will have to built.

A lot of other things happened this month, new workers in my group, some very nice people I met,stephie sleeping at my place, danny also visiting and talking to my mother in romanian, lots of planning and presents.
Meanwhile days are going by in the HGK and I have always less time for everything i would still like to do, who could say that enjoying every second can be so difficult? Everything reminds me of its not going to be the same, i will leave and marius will stop saying simona all day long, no danny to say buna ziua ce faci when i come to work, not so many other stuff i will miss.

i know this girl for two weeks and feels like i know her for a lifetime. she reminds me so much of home and of the people there i am wondering sometimes why am i not talking romanian to her.
she is the opposite of me, the wild side i probably never had, but surprisingly we have so much in common. i told her she should smoke less and eat more, hope someday she will have at least this memory from me.

my last month in HGK

did you ever feel so right for the place you are in that you could never imagine you will have to leave it?

today i saw my ticket back home. even if i know i will come back to germany, even if i am happy i had a good grade at Daf and all chances for the university, even if i miss my parents and sister so much, i still feel sad, like missing something...i think i slowly fell in love with this place.

on this day, when i am sure i will go home so soon, we spent a lot of time on the terase painting, i saluted katinka in the evening with some very colorful fingers, we made a present for a girl from another group who is leaving. i will be part of the big changes in hgk, lots of people with me going and lots of others coming.
in the evening i brought my laptop in the group and we made our own small cinema with the children. we watched marry poppins, the musical of course, where lisa at least had a lot of fun...she might have thought it is somehow still a radio because at some point with the biggest smile on her face she said : radio!! like a big discovery.
marius was enjoying the little cheese pizzas, i noticed he was also happy after each of them he said: mehr!!! and even though katinka said "no, you had enough" he was somehow always eating something, with the small pauses when he realised this is his day and he has to be happy, he has his favorite hearts pijama on.
alisa was sitting in steffis lap, could notice the big satisfaction of getting her permanent attention not to mention steffi who was also happy playing her big sisters role.
and danny was sitting next to me, tried to look very busy with the movie and somehow i always had his hand into mine or on my shoulder, he also lives with the feeling of being half stranger now, his last day in hgk will be in almost 2 weeks, i am already getting troubles with thinking of a final gift for him.

i think i will have this image of the small group there a long time in my head now, just to bad i didnt have my photo camera with me. but i will always remember it.

almost two weeks with the children of HGK

we went to the Naturfreundehaus in Udersee ( Eberswalde) , a very big building with all facilities for big groups and families, but far away from civilization, good for people that have a car. we had 8 buses, two of them full with luggage. the luggage buses left earlier so they have time to prepare everything till the children came.
at the first floor one side was the rollchair rooms and children with special care, the medicine room, big library where we met every morning, the dirty laundry room and the girls floor at the second side. the second floor was reserved for some of the adults, the third was the boys floor.each day every adult had one or more children in charge. evening we met all adults for talking about the day before and the next days.
the see was very close to the house so the first days we visited it

the next day we went to a classical concert, where lisa danced all the time. after that, of course, cake and something to drink:



a very nice excursion we made was the one at bettina von amin, since childrens school has the same name. the place was very nice and reminded me of my grandparents house:






one evening we made a big fire and we danced. the children who werent very sleepy were allowed to go to the lake and see the "Wassergeist"

we left udersee and finow kanal thinking at the nice time we had, the children are already waiting for the next year vacation.

oana, me, the summer and germany

oana spent some time with me in kirchhain after coming back from berlin. i started the work again, but we found time to do nice things and also with the children.
first was the kirchhain day, where i lost my dear glasses, but stefie did a great job in showing oana the small village :
